National Voluntary Blood Donation Day


The Department of Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion (IHBT), DMC&H in collaboration with DMC&H College of Nursing organized a Blood Donation Camp at DMC&H College of Nursing on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day with the theme “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives.” The camp was inaugurated by Sh Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, DMC&H Managing Society along with other faculty members. 

Around 100 B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing students enthusiastically participated in the camp and a poster-making competition was held on the occasion. Winners of the competition were presented with prizes.

Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, remarked, “The youth are the strength of the voluntary blood donation movement. Their contribution will go a long way in saving precious lives.”

Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, shared, “This initiative is not only about donating blood but also about creating awareness and responsibility among future healthcare professionals.”

Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Professor and Head of IHBT, said, “Voluntary blood donation is the biggest service to humanity. Each drop of blood can give someone a new life, and students should take pride in being part of this noble cause.”

Prof. Nidhi Saggar, Vice Principal, College of Nursing said that our students have shown remarkable enthusiasm. Their compassion and dedication to service will guide them throughout their professional journey.
