Retail Pharmacy Network

DMC&H operates a vast and efficient network of 22 retail pharmacy outlets strategically located across the hospital campus, Urban Health Centre and Rural Health Centre. These outlets are designed to ensure prompt access to medications and consumables for inpatients, outpatients, and various departments of the hospital. The retail units are equipped with digital inventory and billing systems to streamline operations and enhance patient service.

Pharmacy Bulk Store

The Pharmacy Bulk Store serves as the central hub for procurement, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical items within the hospital. This facility ensures optimal stock levels, proper storage conditions, and efficient distribution to retail outlets, enabling seamless supply chain operations.

Pharmacy Purchase Department

The Pharmacy Purchase Department is responsible for sourcing medicines and consumables through a rigorous and transparent procurement process. It works closely with approved vendors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective procurement in compliance with regulatory and institutional policies. The department also ensures that all purchased items meet stringent quality standards and are stored under appropriate conditions.

Pharmacy Workforce

The department is staffed by a highly skilled and experienced team of more than 200 pharmacists. Inventory Management

DMC&H Pharmacy manages an extensive inventory system that includes:

• Over 4,200 SKUs of medicines, covering a broad spectrum of therapeutic categories, ensuring availability of essential and specialized drugs at all times.
