About Doctor
Dr. Vivek Jha is an Endocrinologist and currently works as Assistant Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana. He completed his MD in Internal Medicine and DM in Endocrinology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, one of India’s leading tertiary-care and academic institutions.
Dr. Jha follows an evidence-based, patient-centred and individualized approach to the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders. He believes in treating the patient as a whole rather than focusing only on laboratory reports or an individual hormonal disorder. His clinical practice emphasizes accurate diagnosis, appropriate use of investigations, cost-effective treatment and long-term prevention of complications. He also gives importance to patient education and shared decision-making so that patients can better understand and manage their health conditions.
His areas of clinical interest include diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, obesity and metabolic diseases, pituitary and adrenal disorders, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, parathyroid disorders, reproductive endocrinology, PCOS and disorders of growth and puberty.
In addition to clinical care and teaching, Dr. Jha is actively involved in clinical research and academic writing in endocrinology. He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and research projects, particularly in the fields of metabolic bone disease, parathyroid disorders, diabetes, obesity, pituitary and adrenal endocrinology. His research work has also received recognition at national academic conferences.
