Psychiatry Nursing lab and Counselling cell aims to enhance clinical competencies and effective communication among student nurses. It established to provide nursing students with practical learning experience. The lab serves as innovative teaching learning centre where students acquire psychiatry nursing skills in therapeutic and simulated environment.

Psychiatry Nursing lab is supported with psychiatry assessment tools, Mental status examination formats, history taking format, rating scales, Model, educational charts, case based learning material, counselling set up. Students get training in therapeutic communication, stress management, psychiatric interview and procedures like restraining, Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), Orthostatic hypotension and oral medications.

Counselling cell function as a supportive platform to promote emotional well-being among students, also provide guidance services for students. It provides confidential and empathetic environment where students can seek help for academic stress, emotional difficulties, Interpersonal issues and mental health challenges.
