About DMC&H College of Nursing
DMC&H College of Nursing, Malakpur is one of the most modern well equipped nursing colleges in North India. It is widely recognized as centre of excellence in the field of Nursing Education with excellent job training facilities in North Zone. The College is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot; recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi; Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Mohali and is approved by Punjab Govt.
The institution has highly qualified and experienced faculty, many of whom have received national and international recognition for their research and publications. There are frequent visits of guest lecturers from national and international universities, which bring their research and development into classrooms.
The College has air conditioned classrooms with modern facilities. To enhance the presentation of academic exercises like lectures, seminars etc., the institute has a good Audio-visual setup with LCD projector, overhead projector, slide projector, Smart TV, Interactive Borad, Sound system, models and charts for the use of the faculty and students.
A continuous emphasis on modern teaching methods, global links for research, world class infrastructure, placement, diversity of students and institute interactions have consistently placed DMC&H, College of Nursing students well ahead in every field. The college also provides transport facility to students for various educational visits and clinical experience.
All the students are going for clinical training in different super specialities including ICU where they are getting exposure to different specialty departments. The students are also getting skilled experience in different community areas such as community nursing centre (CNC) at Malakpur bet, UHC (Shimlapuri) and RHC (Pohir) which dedicated to enhance health care accessibility.
The college possesses good and comfortable accommodation for girls with all the facilities including round-the clock security, entertainment, boarding, mess, gymnasium and beauty salon. Hostel rooms have attached bathrooms and geysers. Safe drinking water is available for students. Hostel has green pasture lawns, sports courts i.e. badminton, basketball, volley ball, and kho-kho.
