About Faculty
Ms. Bindu K is a Professor and Head of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at DMC&H College of Nursing. She has been associated with the institution since 2009 and brings over 18 years of teaching experience. She completed her undergraduate studies at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research, Bengaluru, and obtained her Master’s degree from Shanmuga College of Nursing, Salem, Tamil Nadu. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS). She began her teaching career as an Assistant Lecturer at Noor College of Nursing, Bengaluru (2005–2006), and later served as a Lecturer at G.H.G. College of Nursing, Ludhiana (2008–2009). After joining DMC&H College of Nursing as a Lecturer, she was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor and then to Professor. Since March 2021, she has been serving in the capacity of Professor. She has also served as a resource person for multiple conferences and has actively organized and participated in numerous workshops. Additionally, she has contributed as a reviewer for two Medical-Surgical Nursing textbooks.
Her academic responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating departmental activities; conducting teaching sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs; guiding postgraduate theses and projects; and providing clinical supervision to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has also served as an inspector for BFUHS, a member of Boards of Examination across various universities, and a member of the Library Committee. She is currently the Research Coordinator for the MSc Nursing program.
Furthermore, she serves as an internal examiner for postgraduate nursing examinations within the institution and as an external examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing examinations in institutions across and outside the state, including NINE, PGI Chandigarh, and MMU Ambala.

Publications
Ms. Bindu K has contributed significantly to academic and research activities, with more than 10 publications in national and international journals. She has presented over 10 papers at various conferences.

Ms. Bindu K has received recognition for Best Poster Presentation at a national conference.
