The Green Initiatives Club of Dayanand Medical College (DMC) is a student-driven platform committed to promote environmental sustainability, ecological awareness, and responsible living within the medical fraternity and beyond. Rooted in the belief that health of humans is inseparable from the health of the planet, the club actively works towards creating a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable campus.
Through a range of eco-friendly initiatives, the club encourages reduction of waste, conservation of natural resources, and adoption of sustainable practices in daily life. With generous support from the hospital management, the club has conducted activities like tree plantation drives, waste segregation and recycling awareness, plastic-free campaigns, cleanliness drives, and observance of environmental days such as World Environment Day and Earth Day.
The club also emphasizes sensitization and education, organizing talks and campaigns that highlight the impact of environmental degradation on public health. By engaging medical students early in their careers, the Green Initiatives Club nurtures environmentally conscious future healthcare professionals who advocate sustainability both in hospitals and in society.
With enthusiastic participation from students and guidance from faculty mentors, the Green Initiatives Club reflects DMC's commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development, reinforcing the institution's vision of holistic healthcare.
Together, we strive to heal not only patients—but the planet itself.
