DMC&H, in collaboration with National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) Nangal, organized a mega free medical camp on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at NFL Hospital, Sector 4, Naya Nangal.
The camp was organized by Dr. Ashwani K. Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent, DMC&H and Dr. B. S. Shergill, Senior CMO, NFL Hospital, Naya Nangal & coordinated by Mr. Gurjit Singh, AGM, Corporate Cell, DMC&H.
The camp was inaugurated by Sh. M. N. Goyal, Chief General Manager & Unit Head, NFL Nangal, along with Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, Ms. Gurinderjit Kaur, CGM NFL Nangal; Dr. B. S. Shergill, CMO NFL Hospital Nangal; Dr. G. S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H; and Dr. Ashwani K. Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent, DMC&H.
During the camp more than 2,318 patients got benefitted from the camp and an expert team of super specialist physicians from Cardiology (Dr G S Wander, Dr Abhishek Goyal and Dr Rohit Tondon), Neuro Surgery (Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr Shavender Sobti), Gastroenterology (Dr Ramit Mahajan), Endocrinology (Dr Naveen Mittal), Nephrology (Dr Vikas Makkar), Ophthalmology (Dr Gurvinder Kaur), Paediatrics (Dr G S Dhooria), Dermatology (Dr Sukhjot Kaur), ENT (Dr Sanjeev Puri) and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Dr Muskan Chaudhary) provided their services. Physiotherapy and Dietitian consultation were also provided to the patients along with health tips and free prescribed medicines. Other services provided during the camp were free ECG, blood sugar, bone densitometry and blood pressure check-up. Free cataract surgery (including lens and medicines) will be performed at DMC&H for 25 or more needy patients screened during the camp. Free ECHO testing is being provided for cardiac patients from this camp at DMC&H Hero Heart Centre.
Sixty children with special needs from ASHHRAYA (a welfare association in Dehlan, Una, Himachal Pradesh ) were examined by the Paediatrics, ENT, and Eye departments. The children were given bags containing stationery and sweets.
Sh. M. N. Goyal, Chief General Manager & Unit Head, NFL Nangal, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for DMC&H’s efforts in organizing this free mega medical camp. He also mentioned that NFL had witnessed such a large-scale camp at NFL Hospital for the first time. He praised DMC&H’s dedication to community service and its commitment to regular free healthcare outreach programs.
Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, extended his gratitude to the NFL management, NFL Employee Union, and the people of Nangal for their overwhelming support in making this mega camp a great success. He also stated that DMC&H is willing to organize more camps at NFL Hospital as per the requirements of NFL Nangal Management.
