DMC&H Launches state-of-the art ‘Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery’

                                 


DMC&H launched state-of-the art velys  
Orthopaedic Robot for joint Replacement Surgery on December 23, 2024 as part of its cutting-edge orthopaedic treatment. This latest technique offers precision, reduced recovery time and better outcomes for patients suffering from joint issues.


The inauguration ceremony was held today at Neuro-Ortho Operation Theatre Complex. The chief guest for the ceremony was Sh Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society. Others who graced the occasion were Sh Mukesh Verma, Treasurer DMC&H Managing Society; Principal, Dr G S Wander; Dean Academics, Dr Sandeep Kaushal,;Medical Supdts., Dr Sandeep Sharma & Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and  Dr Bishav Mohan, Chief Cardiologist, Hero DMC Heart Institute. All the faculty members from Department of Orthopaedics also graced the occasion.

In his message, Sh Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, congratulated the Department of Orthopaedic for having this latest technology in their practices and highlighted that DMC&H is always committed to provide the best medical treatment to their patients as this new addition will help to improve the quality of care to the patients.

Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, stated that the introduction of robotics joint replacement surgery at DMC&H has strengthened our commitment to provide best healthcare services and he highlighted that  orthopaedic surgeons  team has underwent an advanced training in robotic assisted procedures.

Dr Rajnish Garg, Professor & Head Department of Orthopaedics, DMC&H expressed his enthusiasm and said that, that Robotic system provides the real time 3D visualization allowing surgeons to plan and execute during surgery. The Robot act as a guide, ensuring that cuts and placements are made with precision. Further, Dr Garg highlighted that Robotic Joint Replacement helps to minimize the risk of complications and ensures more accurate results.

Giving information about the newly acquired robotic joint replacement surgery, Dr Harpal Singh, Dr Deepak Jain  and Dr Pankaj Mahindra (Professors), Dr Anubhav Sharma, Dr Tarkik Thami and Dr Sajal Maingi (Assistant Professors), enthusiastically stated the introduction of  this latest technology marks a significant milestone for our department.
