DMC&H College of Nursing, Malakpur, hosted a cultural and farewell programme titled "Waqt-e-Rukhsat" on 26 November 2024 to bid adieu to its passing out nursing students of B. Sc batch 2021-24 and M.Sc batch 2022-24.
The formal welcome of the chief guest, Sh. Aaditya Dachalwal (IAS), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, the guest of honor Mr. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Treasurer, DMC&H Managing Society, Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sandeep Sharma was done by Vice Principal Prof. Mrs. Nidhi Sagar. The event was successfully organized under the guidance and supervision of event coordinators Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Sandeep Kaur and Associate Prof. (Mrs.) Shailza Sharma.
Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary DMC&H Managing Society, reminded the students that they are not just healthcare providers, but also advocates, educators, and caregivers for the patients and their families. Further Sh Gupta said that being fortunate for getting good education in a best institute and urged them to do something for society.
Dr. Triza Jiwan, Principal, DMC&H College of Nursing, congratulated the students on their accomplishments, achievements and urged them to remain compassionate, knowledgeable, and competent nursing professionals. Sh. Aaditya Dachalwal (IAS), said "As you start this exciting new journey, I wish you all the very best.Remember that nursing is not just a profession, but a calling that requires you to be the guardians of health, the advocates of wellness, and the champions of hope.
The ceremony featured a range of cultural performances, including dance, music, and modeling. The title of Mr Farewell was awarded to Gursahib Singh Bedi and Ms Farewell was awarded to Neetakshi Sharma respectively. Dr. (Mrs) Sandeep Kaur expressed her appreciation for the outgoing students and the organizers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the students of the outgoing batches.
