White Coat Ceremony 2024
DMC&H celebrated the entrance of new medical students with a formal White Coat Ceremony held on 28th October, 2024 at the DMC&H College Campus. This milestone event marks the beginning of an inspiring and challenging journey for these students. The ceremony was attended by all the student batch 2024 along with their parents.
The ceremony commenced with opening remarks from Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, who set a tone of aspiration and dedication, encouraging students to embrace this journey with discipline, focus, and resilience. Dr Kaushal also introduced the students and their parents to the gathering.
The event was graced by chief guest Sh Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, Sh Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, DMC&H Managing Society, Dr. G. S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, Medical Supdt. Dr. Ashwani K. Chaudhary, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Medical Supdt; and Dr. Bishav Mohan, Chief Cardiologist and Co-ordinator, HDHI.
Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society in his keynote address, congratulated the students and warmly welcomed them to the DMC. Sh. Gupta shared his confidence that the students would gain extensive knowledge and hands-on experience over the next four and a half years, preparing them to become skilled and compassionate doctors. He also expressed admiration for students who chose this path even without a family background in the medical field, highlighting the inclusiveness and aspirational spirit that drives DMC&H.
In his address, Dr. G. S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, welcomed and congratulated the new batch, encouraging them to fully embrace the responsibilities that come with the medical profession. Emphasizing the unique honor of becoming a doctor, Dr. Wander reminded students that it is not merely a profession but a profound responsibility to serve humanity.
He introduced faculty members and the facilities at DMC&H college campus to the students and their families. Dr. Wander also shared the legacy and growth of DMC&H through a presentation, highlighting the institution’s advancements and its commitment to excellence in medical education and patient care. His address concluded on a heartfelt note, as he recited a poem, inspiring students to approach their careers with both compassion and commitment.
The ceremony culminated with the heartfelt tradition of parents and grandparents placing white coats on young medical students. It demonstrated the pride of the family on the extraocular achievement of their children.
