Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H) is proud to announce the launch of its Outreach and Health Education Programme, aimed at creating a supportive environment, encouraging healthier lifestyles and addressing specific health challenges in the community.
The launching ceremony was graced by Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary of the DMC&H Managing Society, who commended the dedicated team behind this initiative. Leading the program are Dr. Bishav Mohan, Professor of Cardiology; Dr. Anurag Chaudhary, Head of the Department of Community Medicine; Dr. Ashima Taneja, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology; and Dr. Swati Jain, Assistant Professor of Gynecology, who led today’s session.
Sh. Mukesh Verma, Treasurer of the DMC&H Managing Society, also attended the event, adding his support to this important endeavor.
Speaking at the event, Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal of DMC&H, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting overall health and well-being: “This Outreach Programme is a crucial step in reinforcing our commitment to preventive health care. Educating our staff and the community is key to fostering a healthier environment for all.”
Dr. Bishav Mohan, Professor of Cardiology, praised the focus on women’s health in the inaugural session: "Women often neglect their own health while taking care of others. This initiative is about reminding them to prioritize their own well-being.
Dr. Anurag Chaudhary, Professor and Head Community Medicine, said that "Our goal is to address health challenges in a holistic manner, not just focusing on treatment but on prevention. By providing accurate health education, we are empowering individuals to take control of their health and their families
The inaugural session, attended by over 200 female staff members of DMC&H, focused on women’s health, addressing key topics such as stress management, the importance of maintaining a healthy diet, and the necessity of regular checkups for overall well-being.
This initiative reflects DMC&H’s ongoing commitment to promoting health and well-being among its staff and the wider community.
