In view of National Medical Commission (NMC) Awareness programme cum training programme for youths and non-medical personnel to conduct  Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) across the country, DMC&H conducted mass training programme different locations which included DMC&H OPD Block,  Hero Reception Area of DMC Heart Institute , DMC College Campus, DMC&H College of Nursing, Mallakpur, Urban  Health Centre  Shimlapuri and Rural Health Centre, Pohir.

The programme was conducted by Department of Aneathesia, DMCH. During the training programme public were made aware about CPR and its importance. The awareness session consisted of awareness videos, hands on training session on the mannequins.

In his message, Secretary DMC&H Managing Society Sh Bipin Gupta  said that DMCH is always in the forefront to create awareness  among the masses  and he urged everyone to participate in this mass awareness cum training programme and to learn CPR.

Principal, Dr Sandeep Puri said that DMC&H is regularly imparting CPR training to the DMC&H faculty members and staff.  Code blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT)  at DMC&H are successfully saving many lives said Dr Puri.

Dean Academics, Dr Sandeep Kaushal said that DMC&H is an approved site for the American Heart Association's (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular  Life Support (ACLS) courses, as well as an approved site for the Indian Resuscitation Council's (IRC) BCLS and CCLS courses.

Dr  Suneet  Kathuria, Professor & Head Department of Aneathesia who co-ordinated the programme highlighted that CPR is a life saving technique that can be performed by anyone who has received proper training. Immediate CPR can significantly improve the chances of survival after suffering from cardiac rest said Dr Kathuria

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tanveer Singh, Associate Professor Department of Aneathesia said that  sudden Cardiac Arrest can happen to people at any time or place, if you know CPR you will get to know what to do at the time of cardiac emergency.

More than 700 people were participated  in this mass awareness cum training programme.
