Mrs.Shailza Sharma is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatric Nursing at DMC&H College of Nursing. She has been associated with the institution since 2018 and brings over --- years of teaching experience. She completed her undergraduate studies at DMCH College of Nursing in 2007, and obtained her Master’s degree from CMC&H College of nursing in 2011. She began her teaching career as Clinical Instructor at Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar (2007-2009). After Masters in Nursing since 2011 served as Assistant Professor and from 2018 she has been serving in the capacity of Associate professor has contributed significantly to academic and research activities, with more than 10 publications in national and international journals. She has presented papers at various conferences.She has also served as a guest speaker, chairperson for conferences and has actively organized and participated in numerous workshops. She is a member of the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), Indian society of Psychiatric Nurses(ISPN) and the Nursing Research Society of India (NRSI). Additionally, she has contributed as a reviewer for 3 textbooks. Her academic responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating departmental activities; conducting teaching sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs; guiding postgraduate theses and projects; and providing clinical supervision to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has also served as an inspector for BFUHS, observer for BFUHS, National Trainer of TOT program by NIMHANS since2020. Furthermore, she serves as an internal examiner for under/ postgraduate nursing examinations within the institution and as an external examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing examinations in institutions across and outside the state BFUHS, Punjab University Chandigarh.
