About Faculty

Ms. Amninder Kaur is a (Associate Professor) at DMC&H College of Nursing. She has been associated with the institution since (2011) and brings over 15years of teaching experience.She completed her undergraduate studies at Govt. College of Nursing, Rajindra Hospital, Patiala and obtained her Master’s degree from Guru Hargobind College of Nursing, Raikot, Ludhiana underBaba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. She began her teaching career as an Assistant Lecturer at D.M.C &H College of Nursing, Ludhiana. Since 2011, she has been serving in the capacity of Class Coordinator, Subject teacher of Community health Nursing, Nursing Education, English, Nursing Administration to B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing Students, Research Guide and Coguide for B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing, Community Lab incharge supervises and evaluate the B.Sc (N) and M.Sc (N) students in urban and rural area posting at Urban Health Centre, Shimlapuri, Ludhiana as well as in Community Nursing Centre, Malakpur Bet, and other rural areas adopted by D.M.C& Hospital.She has contributed significantly to academic and research activities, with publications in national and international journals.

Additionally, she has contributed as a reviewer for Nutrition textbook, Nursing Education, community Health Nursing, Nursing Administration.Her academic responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating departmental activities; conducting teaching sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs; guiding postgraduate theses and projects; and providing clinical supervision to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has also served as an inspector for BFUHS and a member of the Publication & Scholarship Committee.Furthermore, she serves as an internal examiner for under/ postgraduate nursing examinations within the institution and as an external examiner for undergraduate nursing students in Punjab.

  • 2nd Prize for Scientific research paper presentation on topic Anemia among adolescents in XXVI Biennial Conference by Trained Nurses Association of India, Punjab State Branch “An Effective evaluation Method OSCE/OSPE” at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital College of Nursing, Ludhiana on 23rd April 2016.
  • 3rd prize for scientific poster oral presentation on Sibling Rivalry in International Conference “ Healthclave 2018 Technological Impact on Epidemiology and Healthcare” organized by Rayat-Bhara College of Nursing on 2nd &3rd February, 2018.
  • Presented Research Paper presentation in Virtual National Conference on Theme : Nurses in Healthcare Leadership held at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, U.P KGMU College of Nursing from 11th to 12th Feb 2021 on topic “ Prevalence of Text Neck Syndrome and Quality of Sleep among smartphone users in selected Colleges of District Ludhiana, Punjab.
  • Ist prize for research paper presentation on topic: A study to assess the awareness regarding First Aid Management of Dog Bite among Adults residing in selected areas of District Ludhiana, Punjab at 5th National Conference 2024 held at SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana from 13th to 14th December 2024 under the aegis of Society of Public Health Education, Research & Empowerment. 

She has also served as a resource person for multiple conferences and has actively organized and participated in numerous workshops.
