Dr Punit Singla is a graduate of DMC, Ludhiana; completed his surgical training in SPMC, Bikaner. He has been trained in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi under stalwarts in field of GI surgery and Liver Transplantation; where he was involved in managing all type of complicated gastro-intestinal and hepato-biliary-pancreatic cases. He had been involved in innovations in living donor liver transplant such as minimally invasive donor liver surgery (midline incision, laparoscopic and robotic), ABO blood incompatible liver transplants, paired exchange liver transplants. He participated in more than 800 liver transplantation including living donor, deceased donor (brain dead organ donation and transplants), pediatric transplants, paired exchange, dual lobe, combined liver kidney; complex hepato-biliary-pancreatic and gastro- intestinal surgeries including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. His main field of interest is liver transplantation with safe donor surgeries. He was instrumental in supporting new liver transplant programs in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Chennai.He has formerly worked at Medanta- the Medicity and Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. He believes in maintaining work ethics and treating patients with compassion and empathy.

He joined Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) as specialist liversurgeon. Dedicated liver care team in DMCH,which includes liver specialist surgeons, gastroenterologists, anesthetists, radiologist (diagnostic and interventional) and ICU specialists, work in dedicated liver theatres, ICU and HDU complimented by state of the art equipment geared for providing comprehensive liver care under one roof.
