Dr Sarit Sharma, MD, PGDHM, FICHE (USA)
PROFESSOR
Dr Sarit Sharma is Professor in the department of Community Medicine, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. He is a life member of IAPSM, IPHA, BPNI and Health Population & Perspectives (NIHFW, New Delhi). He has been a member of national governing body of IAPSM, governing body of North Zone IAPSM and Vice President of IAPSM-Punjab chapter. He has authored a book on Preventive & Social Medicine, published more than 30 articles in International & National journals and authored an online course for ‘The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA)’ on healthcare associated infections. He has attended about 90 International & National conferences, workshops and trainings and presented many papers and guest lectures. He is reviewer for many reputed indexed journals.
Dr Sharma completed one year fellowship in Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology from Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA and is currently the Hospital Infection Control Officer at DMCH. He is state level master trainer for RNTCP, member of State Task Force-RNTCP and national trainer for Infant and Young Child feeding (IYCF). He has organized / coordinated / imparted many state/district level conferences, trainings, workshops and has been senior investigator for national level surveys. He is a member of state surveillance team for HIV surveillance, and has been appointed independent monitor on behalf of WHO for monitoring NID & SNID rounds of Pulse Polio Immunization on various occasions. He has been Investigator for many ICMR and Government sponsored research projects and has also guided many students for ICMR STS projects. |
