PROFESSOR & HEAD
Dr. Lily Walia, Professor & Head, Deptt. of Physiology working in DMC since July 1981 till date. She has total teaching experience of 27 years. She did her graduation in 1980 from Ranchi University and post graduation from DMC in 1990. She joined DMC as demonstrator in July 1981 and became Lecturer in the same institution in 1990. She was promoted as Reader in Dec. 1995 and Professor in Nov. 2003. She is presently heading the department since August 2006. She is a life member of association of Physiologist and pharmacologist of India & Vice President of APPI Ludhiana Branch. She is a member of College Council, faculty disciplinary committee of DMC & H and Ethical Committee at CMC&H.
She has been thesis guide and four Postgraduate students have already been awarded MD Physiology and currently six postgraduate students are under her guidance. She has published 12 papers in National and International journals, chaired session and attended several workshops. She has completed two Research Projects on animals and have organized workshop on Biopotential in Health and disease in the year 2005. |
