Dr Sandeep Puri takes over as new DMCH Principal 01/12/20014
DMCH Managing Society today appointed Dr Sandeep Puri as the Principal of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. Dr Puri, who has been Head of Department of Medicine & Vice Principal at DMCH, today took over the charge from the outgoing principal Dr Daljit Singh who attained superannuation. Dr Daljit Singh served the institution as Principal for 11 long years and was given warm farewell recently by the members of DMCH Managing Society, faculty members, staff and students.
Sh Sunil Kant Munjal (President, DMCH Managing Society), who was also present on the occasion of farewell function of Dr Daljit Singh said that strategic vision of Management, Medical Administrators and improved collaborative spirit and wholehearted dedication of all employees has produced tremendous growth of the institution in terms of quality patient care and remarkable infrastructure development for the past many years.
Secretary of DMCH Managing Society- Sh Prem Kumar Gupta congratulated Dr Puri as new Principal of Dayanad Medical College & Hospital. Ludhiana and expressed his desire that the institution would continue to strive forward and attain further glory.
In his message, Dr Puri said that it has been my privilege to be associated with the alma mater in various capacities since long and presently I am honoured to take over as the Principal of this premier and prestigious medical college of the region.
Dr Puri has been heading the Department of Medicine at the DMCH from March 2005. An enthusiast of cultural activities, youth affairs and sports. He has also been associated with the cultural committee of the DMCH as its chairperson since February 1994. Dr Puri did his graduation (MBBS) in 1987 and post graduation (MD) in 1991 from the DMCH itself.
