Indian National Brain Bee Quiz-2013   20th-21st April,2013

Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana in collaboration with a non-governmental organization, The Indian National Brain Bee organised  the “Indian National Brain Bee Quiz-2013” on April,  20- 21, 2013. The 2 days event was conduct by the Department of Neurology at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. 

The quiz participants comprised of the individual winners of the Regional rounds of the Brain Bee Quiz conducted by at 13 different centers across the country. In line with other contests such as the spelling Bil, the quiz program was designed to encourage school students to take up clinical and research careers in Neurosciences. Brain and Neurological sciences are an area which remains largely unexplored and enigmatic. Hence there is tremendous potential for research in this area. Besides the quiz round itself, a highlight of the event was a doctor patient simulation round, in which the students interviewed and counseled dummy patients. 

The winner of the All indian quiz was Aditya Narayan from Banglore, Divyansh Pandey from Delhi and Sukriti Nehra from Chandigarh scored second and third positions respectively. Sh. Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary, DMC Managing Society gave away the prizes
