“ICACON-2012” organized

Department of Anaesthesia & Critical Care at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital  organized three day “4th National Conference of Indian College of Anaesthesiologists (ICACON-2012)” from 23rd to 25th November in Dumra Auditorium.The conference was formally inaugurated  by the State Cabinet Minister S. Bikram Singh Majithia. Principal Dr Daljit Singh extended warm welcome to the dignitaries present on the occasion. According to Organzing Secretary Dr Sunil Katyal, the conference provided the participating delegates with the opportuniy to learn about the latest clinical advances in research, practice, treatment and care in the field of anaesthesiology.The conference  provided hands-on-training, comprehensive lectures, sub speciality symposiums, interactive sessions, free paper sessions and poster presentations.  

Scientific Secretary-Dr Anju Grewal said that a galaxy of distinguished international and national faculty delivered talks & sharing their expertise with the participating delegates. The scientific sessions, during the conference,  aimed at discussing the latest international advances, interventions and developments in the fields of Anaesthesia, Resuscitation, Chronic & Acute Pain Management, critical care and subspeciality anaesthesia. “Workshop on Ultrasound” was held prelude to the conference.

The first day of the conference began with scientific sessions on “Airway & CPR Issues”, “Obstetric Anesthesia & Analgesia”, “Pediatric Anesthesia”, “Bariatric Anesthesia”, “Cardiac Anesthesia”, “ Critical care”,  “Pro-Con sessions”, ‘Anesthesia for Liver Transplant” and “Perioperative medicine”.
