The Department of Dietetics & Neurology organized the 7th CNE (Continuing Nutrition Education) on NEURO NUTRITION- Predict, Prevent & Restore.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, along with the guest of honour Sh. Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Treasurer, DMC&H, Managing Society.
More than 150 delegates from all over the country attended the conference. The Neuro-Nutrition Conference brought together a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers like Dr. Vinay Goyal, Director Neurology, Medanta, Gurugram, Dr. Shefali Gulati, Professor & Chief Child Neurology Division, AIMS, New Delhi, Dr Gagandeep Singh, Prof & Head, Neurology DMC&H, Dr Vivek Kumar Gupta, Intensivist, Hero DMC and Prasanna Suresh Hegde, Clinical Head Deglutology, HCG Hospital, Bangalore and various panellists, and presenters, each renowned for their contributions to the intersection of nutrition and cognitive well-being. The attendees delve into topics such as the impact of dietary choices on brain function, the role of specific nutrients in neuroprotection, and the potential of personalized nutrition in optimizing cognitive performance.
Key highlights from the neuro nutrition conference included lectures from renowned experts who presented latest advances in epileptic patient care, sarcopenia in patients, ketogenic diet in epilepsy and enhancing functioning of gut-brain axis.

Dr. Gurpreet Singh Wander, Vice Principal DMC&H in his address said that the food you eat impacts your health. He also emphasized the impact of lifestyle choices, including sleep, exercise, and stress management, on brain health.
Dr Gagandeep Singh, HOD Neurology DMC&H said that the scientific community has witnessed a paradigm shift in our understanding of the intricate relationship between the gut and the brain, giving rise to a field of study known as the gut-brain axis. This could potentially play a crucial role in the onset and progression of neurological disorders.
Dt. Shaveta Batta RD, Chief Dietician, DMC&H added that it is crucial to understand the synergistic effects of specific nutrients for brain health and emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet in supporting cognitive function and preventing neurodegenerative disorders.
