To commemorate World Sepsis Day, the Dept. of Microbiology, DMC&H organized a CME, with the aim to raise awareness and unite all stakeholders in the fight against sepsis. This CME emphasized the need for timely diagnosis and management of sepsis.
Various lectures were presented by eminent speakers on topics like "MDR Bugs in Indian ICUs" by Dr Vikas Suri, Professor, Internal Medicine, PGIMER; "Tackling Sepsis- Clinical Microbiologist Aiding a Clinician" by Dr Vikas Gautam, Professor, Medical Microbiology, PGIMER; and "Management of Sepsis" by Dr Lakshmi Narayana Yaddanapudi, Prof. & Head Anaesthesia, PGIMER.
A panel discussion was also conducted by Dr. PL Gautam, Professor and Head, Critical Care, DMC&H, and clinical cases were presented by PG residents of DMC&H. An awareness talk for MBBS students was also conducted by Dr. Veenu Gupta, Head, Microbiology, DMC&H. |
