The workshop was formally inaugurated by Secretary Sh Prem Kumar Gupta along with the Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Medical Superintendents Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr Sandeep Sharma.
Secretary DMCH Managing Society, Sh Prem Kumar Gupta urged the faculty members to train the students to communicate with patients and their families with compassion and empathy.
In his message, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri said that the main purpose of conducting this program is to sensitize the faculty members about new concepts in teaching and assessment methods and to acquire competency in communication, ethics and behavioural skills and apply as well.
According to Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, this workshop is a step to train the participating faculty in CBME. The faculty is already involved in updating their skills. This workshop is for the teachers, of the teachers and by the teachers. He complimented the other members of MEU (Medical Education Unit) who have worked hard to conduct this workshop and also the support staff for making adequate arrangements.
All the sessions in this academic programme were very informative and interactive. It was highly appreciated by all the participants and by the observer.
There were 20 sessions for rBCW covering all the topics as per the format of the National Medical Commission of India. These sessions were conducted by nine facilitators including Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dr Anurag Chaudhary, Dr Hem Lata Badyal, Dr Kanchan Gupta, Dr Bharti Mahajan, Dr Seema Gupta, Dr Sonia Singh, Dr Sanjeev Puri and Dr Sumit Grover.
At the end certificates were distributed to all the participants by Dr Monika Sharma and the program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr Sandeep Kaushal.
