A public interaction programme was organised by the Department of Anatomy, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana for the students of Modern Secular Public School, Shergarh Cheema, Malerkotla on 16.11.2022. 

 

Dr Sandeep Puri, Principal, DMCH,Ludhiana, in his address, motivated the class X students to take up Medicine as a career. He highlighted that this profession has always been a noble one, and there is immense satisfaction when we treat a patient.

 

Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary, DMCH Managing Society, congratulated the Dept of Anatomy and encouraged the students to spread the cause of organ donation as it can save a life.

The students were made aware of the organs like heart, liver, kidney etc. which can be donated from brain dead persons. After death, the cornea & whole body can be donated. The faculty of the Anatomy department, later, showed the students human organs taken from donated bodies to encourage organ donation.
