Undergraduate medical students of 2007 batch were declared overall winners for their excellent performances in various cultural activities of the three-day colourful cultural festival 'Ectopia-2012' which concluded yesterday evening at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. Batch 2009 was declared second and Batch 2008 was declared third. With this, the three-day cultural extravaganza came to an end with glittering prize distribution ceremony along with exhilarating performances by the participants.
                                  
The winners of different competitions were honoured by the Guests of Honour- Sh Satish Sanwalka (Treasurer, DMCH Managing Society), Mrs. Subha Sanwalka, Mrs Poonam Bindra along with Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh. Prem Kumar Gupta, Principal of DMCH-Dr. Daljit Singh, Vice Principal Dr Jagdeep Whig, Chief Cardiologist Dr GS Wander  and Medical Suptds. Dr Sandeep Puri & Dr Ashwani Chaudhary.
 
In his address, Medical Suptd. & Chairperson of DMCH Cultural Committee- Dr Sandeep Puri appreciated the enthusiasm of the students with which they took part in various contests and lauded the effort of members of DMCH Cultural Committee and student co-ordinators Jasmeet Singh, Akshjot Puri, Puneet Singla, Praful Tiwari, Nipun Bansal and Jaskaran Singh for their whole-hearted co-operation.
 
Vibhushit of batch 2009 was declared 'Mr. Ectopia' for his award-winning performances in and the title of Ms. Ectopia was given to Gurkanwal Kaur Toor of batch 2007for their award-winning performances in various competitions 
                    
A special fashion show see several aspiring doctors walking the ramp. In the fashion show contest, first prize was bagged by batch 2007, second prize was given to batch 2008.
           
The major crowd-puller of the evening was the "group dance contest" in which the medical students left the audience spellbound with their electrifying performance based on foot-tapping folk and bollywood numbers.
