Two Day Workshop on ‘Clinical Sports Dry Needling' held to mark World Physiotherapy Day
To mark World Physiotherapy Day, two day hands on workshop on 'Clinical Sports Dry Needling' was organised by Department of Physiotherapy DMCH. The workshop was conducted by Dr Mayank Pushkar PT, sports Physiotherapist and Certified Dry Needling Instructor from UK.
The workshop was formally inaugurated by Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent DMCH along with Dr Sandeep Puri Principal DMCH and Dr Sandeep Kaushal. All faculty members of the Department of Physiotherapy were present on the occasion.
Dr Shweta Mahajan, PT, In charge Physiotherapy Department extended warm welcome to all the dignitaries who were present on the occasion and introduced the instructor with the audience.
In his message, Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary DMCH Managing Society said that the Department of Physiotherapy at DMCH has state of art facilities to take care of the patients with different ailments.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Sandeep Puri, Principal DMCH lauded the efforts of the Department of Physiotherapy for conducting this workshop and to introduce new techniques.
Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent DMCH highlighted the role of physiotherapist to support the patient for recovering from injury, reduce pain , stiffness and maximize function and quality of life. A physiotherapist incorporates physical, psychological and social well being to the patients said Dr Chaudhary. |
