World Diabetes Day was celebrated in Medical OPD, which was organized by Endocrinology Department and Nursing Department of Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana. This year world Diabetes Day carried a theme of “Diabetes education and prevention” and so was it organized in DMCH institute. Inauguration of the programme was done by Sh. Prem Gupta, Secretary, DMCH Managing Society and Dean Academics, Dr. Rajoo Singh Chinna.
This day was celebrated in the form of poster exhibition and role play conducted by M.Sc 1st year and B.Sc Nursing 2nd year students under the guidance of Mrs. Prabhjot Saini,Assoc. Professor, College of Nursing, DMCH, Ludhiana. Dr. Rajoo Singh Chinna emphasized on the fact that ancient diet was much better than modern junk foods which have raised the incidence of diabetes and obesity in children as well as adults. Dr. Parminder Singh, HOD endocrinology department and Dr. Jasbir kaur Principal CON were the backbone of the above programme. Prizes and appreciation awards along with patient education material were distributed in the end. |
