Department of Medicine organized MEDICON 2019 on 6th October in Dumra Auditorium.The conference was held on the theme of “Acute Care Medicine†and was enthusiastically participated by around 300 delegates from different parts of the country.
The CME was formally inaugurated by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta. Also present during the inaugural function were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Medical Supdt. Dr Sandeep Sharma,Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal and Medical Supdt. (HDHI) Dr Bishav Mohan.
Addressing the participants, the chief guest Sh Prem Kumar Gupta said DMCH is committed not only to provide best medical care but to create awareness & update the working knowledge of doctors treating the serious patients. He emphasised that acquiring of good and effective communication skill is very important for doctor in present times.
Principal Dr Sandeep Puri extended warm welcome to all the dignitaries, guest speakers and participating delegates. In his message, Dr Puri said that such conferences are very useful in updating the knowledge of practicing physicians.
Organizing Chairman-Dr Dinesh Gupta extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and participating delegates present on the occasion. In his address, Dr Gupta said that the purpose of organizing this Conference is to sensitize the the participating delegates about acute care medicine.
Organizing Secretary-Dr Rajesh Mahajan said proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries present on the occasion, distinguished guest speakers and participating delegates. He said the conference proved to be very useful for the delegates in enhancing the knowledge about the recent advancements in ‘Acute Care Medicineâ€
The conference was initially started with the written quiz, in which 40 PG students from 10 different medical colleges participated and during the Conference eminent speakers discussed the various topics including sepsis diagnosis and its management, Acute kidney injury in ICU, Heart failure Management and panel discussion was done on the topic of management of massive and submassive Pulmonary embolism.
The Conference was attended by doctors from various specialties including critical care, medicine, anaesthesia, cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology and pulmonary medicine.
The faculty from various specialties from different part of the country expressed their views and shared their experiences. That included Dr Pankaj Malhotra Professor of Medicine PGIMER, Dr Anshu Rastogi Endocrinologist PGIMER, Dr Dhruva Chaudhary from Pulmonary and Critical Care Medcine PGIMS Rohtak, Dr Ashish Bhalla professor of Meidcine PGIMER, Dr Sanjeev Gulati Nephrologist Vasant Kunj Delhi, Dr Sandeep Seth Cardiologist AIIMS Delhi and Dr Vikas Suri Professor of Medicine PGIMER Chandigarh.
The conference included the lectures, panel discussion and case based discussion to make it more interactive. |
