Annual Convocation held (31st March , 2018)
Amidst an ambience of solemnity and grandeur, 47 students of the MBBS Batch 2012 were awarded degrees and prizes at Annual Convocation held in Dumra Auditorium. The chief guest, during the convocation, was Dr Daljit Singh (Former Principal,DMCH)
Dean Academics-Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina extended warm welcome to the dignitaries present on the occasion and conducted the Convocation proceedings.
Vice-Principal Dr GS Wander introduced the chief guest to the audience. Dr Wander said that Convocation is moment of pride for the passing batch of successful students.
Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta welcomed all present and congratulated the fresh graduates and advised them to fulfill their duty with utmost dedication and within the limits of medical ethics. In his message, Sh Prem Kumar Gupta said that DMCH, as an institution, has always strived hard to achieve excellence in the field of medical education and quality patient care.
Principal Dr Sandeep Puri read out the annual report of the college and highlighted the achievements and progress made by the esteemed faculty and various departments in the last one year. In his message to the outgoing students, Dr Puri advised the fresh graduates to pursue their noble profession with utmost dedication and dignity. Dr Puri said that a good doctors need to have compassion, understanding and empathy for their patients, and success and fame will follow them naturally.
The chief guest- Dr Daljit Singh extended warmest congratulations to the graduating students. In his address, the chief guest said Dayanand Medical College & Hospital is a privileged institution to work with. He emphasized that Managing Society of DMCH always take initiative for making constant growth and development of its infrastructure and facilities.To the students, Dr Daljit Singh said that there is a greater responsibility on their shoulders now as they will now be exposed to many new opportunities and challenges.
Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina administered the Hippocratic Oath to the fresh graduates before presenting them their degrees. The gold medal for the best graduate was presented to Dr Shreya Gupta and the silver medal to Dr Amanat Sidhu. The Best Intern Award went to Dr Anubhuti Dhanuka. The chief guest awarded 44 prizes and 15 medals to the students of various batches who had excelled in various subjects. |
