Communal harmony week and Flag Day celebrated (25th December 2017)

Communal Harmony Week and Flag Day was celebrated  in   Auditorium of MedicalCollege Campus under auspices of National Foundation for Communal Harmony by the department of Biochemistry . The Chief Guest  on the occasion was  Mrs  Rashi Gupta .

On this occasion Dr Sandeep Puri  (Principal DMCH )  Dr. (Mrs.) Triza Jiwan (Principal  College  of  Nursing )  Dr Rajoo Singh  Chinna (Dean Academic) Dr Sandeep Kaushal (Assistant Dean Academic),  and other faculty members from  Nursing and Medical College were present there.

Dr Navjot Bajwa (Professor & Head of Biochemistry) were extended warm welcome to all the  dignitaries  present  on the occasion briefed the audience about the Communal Harmony Week and Flag Day and said beside promoting communal harmony, the organization provides physical and psychological rehabilitation  of  child  victims  of communal caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, with special  reference  to  their  care , education  and  training .

In his message, Dr Sandeep Puri  (Principal DMCH )  stressed on the need for promoting communal harmony in the country. He added that the youth in country need awakening and joint efforts by enlightened people of all communities, as peace is good for all and strife is harmful to everybody.

Activities that were held during celebration by Medical and Nursing Students of DMC included Poster Contest, Slogan Contest, Declamation Contest, , Group Song Competition, Collage  Making and Solo Songs. The winners of different competitions were also awarded certificates and   prizes by the dignitaries present on the occasion.
