Sub -              Farewell function held for Dr Sandhu

DMCH gave a warm farewell to Dr Jaswinder Singh Sandhu (Professor & Head of Nephrology), who has been associated with the institution for the last 47 years, as an alumni and faculty as well.  

Principal Dr Sandeep Puri said that during his tenure at DMCH, Dr Sandhu has always been extremely cordial to his patients, colleagues and students as well. He has always taken keen interest in the overall development of his department.

Dr Vikas Makkar, who will be now heading the Department of Nephrology at DMCH, said that Dr Sandhu has always worked tirelessly for bringing recognition to his department. When Dr Sandhu joined the institution way back in 1977 as a Registrar, Department of Nephrology was having very limited facilities and resources but with the visionary guidance and constant efforts of Dr  JS Sandhu, the Department flourished manifold.

Dr P M Sohal, Professor of Nephrology, showcased some power point slides which depicted past moments from the life of Dr Sandhu.

In his farewell address, Dr Sandhu said that DMCH,as an institution has given him all the possible opportunities to excel in his professional field and also serve the patients with utmost dedication and passion

Finally, the farewell function got concluded with an impressive ‘Momento Presentation Ceremony’ to Dr Sandhu by Members of DMCH Managing Society and Medical Administrators,
