INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY celebrated 12th May
To commemorate birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is known as pioneer of modern nursing, International Nurses Day was celebrated in College of Nursing, Malakpur Campus and DMCH Hospital.
DMC Hospital:-
All the staff nurses working in the hospital celebrated International Nurses Day by organizing a brief scientific session pertaining to Nursing profession.
Clinical Instructor- Christina Jacob extended warm welcome to all those present on the occasion.
Nursing Supdt. Ms. Minakshi Pereira unfolded the theme of this year’s Nurse’s Day which is “NURSES : A Voice to lead Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals ” In her address, Ms Minakshi Pereira said that the nurses need to do their best in providing quality health care to the patients.
Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, in his message, said that Nursing is an integral part of hospital services and nurses play a major role in creating and maintaining healthy society.
Those present on the occasion were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Medical Supdt Dr Ashwnai Chaudhary, Dr Deepinder Chhina (Professor & Head of Microbiology) and other faculty members and non-medical administrators
College of Nursing:-
In a function organized at College of Nursing, Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal formally inaugurated the function. Principal, College of Nursing- Prof. Nidhi Sagar extended warm welcome to all the faculty members and students present on the occasion. In her address, Prof Nidhi Sagar motivated the students to be proud of their nursing profession and carry on the responsibilities with scientific knowledge, skills and positive attitude. Prof. Prabhjot Saini unfolded the theme of nurses Say followed by cake cutting ceremony.
