                                     CUTICON-2016                            5th-6th Nov 

Department of Skin and VD organized two-days 42nd Annual Conference of IADVL (Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh Chapter). The conference ‘CUTICON 2016’ is based on the theme ’Challenges, Innovation & Advances. The conference was inaugurated by Vice President of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Amrit Nagpal along with Sh Gian Chand Dhawan and Principal Dr Sandeep Puri. The office bearers of IADVL (Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists  and Leprologists) including Dr Bimal Kanish, Dr Sanjeev Handa, Dr BB Mahajan and Dr Anil Ganjoo were also present on the occasion        

According to Organizing Secretary- Dr Sunil Kumar Gupta (Professor & Head of Dermatology). the conference will focus on major breakthroughs and advances in the field of Dermatology, ranging from clinical practice to research, technology and innovation. During the conference, the participating delegates will broaden the area of their knowledge by listening to the scientific lectures of distinguished dermatologists from different parts of the country.

The first day of the conference began with ‘Workshop on Dermatology’ by Sanjeev Gupta, Professor & Head of Dermatology, MMI Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Ambala.Dr Rajeev Sharma from Aligarh and Dr Asit Mittal from RNT Medical College, Udaipur spoke elaborately on ‘Typical cases of Dermatology’ and ‘Unusual Manifestations of Connective Tissue Disorders’

The lectures held in the post-lunch session include ‘Chilocoris Pigmentation’ by Dr M Ramam from AIIMS, New Delhi and  ‘Leprosy in Children’ by Dr Sunil Dogra from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Dr Vikram Mahajan from Dr RP Medical Collge, Tanda gave a lecture on ‘Cosmetics & Contact Dermatitis’. The second and concluding day of ‘CUTICON-2016’ conference was also well attended by lot of participating delegates and distinguished guest speakers
