Punjab conferred State Award to Secretary of DMCH Managing Society
On the occasion of Independence Day celebration yesterday at Chandigarh, Punjab Government conferred State Award to Sh Prem Kumar Gupta (Secretary, DMCH Managing Society) for his exemplary role as a Social Worker.
Sh Prem Kumar Gupta has been closely associated with Dayanand Medical College & Hospital ever since his becoming Secretary of DMCH Managing Society since 2004. His sheer dedication and commitment of offering quality patient care to the people of region has been instrumental in developing unique infrastructure capabilities and diagnostic facilties for the people of state. Under his able guidance, DMCH has become one of top territiary care hospital for advanced medical investigation and treatment, The medical college and its unit Hero DMC Heart Institute is first medical college of North India which recently was awarded with the prestigious NABH accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers.
Besides his involvement with Dayanand Medcial College & Hospital, Sh Prem Kumar Gupta puts a lot of focus on education. He is also Founder President of Shanti Tara School and College at Ahmedgarh since 1996, which was started with a mission to provide education to girls in various vocational streams
Born on 22nd Dec,1950Sh Prem Kumar Gupta had his early schooling and college education in Delhi. In 1970, Mr Gupta joined his family business of manufacturing cotton, wool and fiber with factories in Ludhiana, Sangrur, New Delhi and Chandigarh as Chairman of ST Group. Today, ST Cottex Exports Pvt Ltd is one of the leading textile spinning companies located in northern Indian province of Punjab
